But this time round, you need not fill in any of the embroidery/color/font code, you just proceed to payment after choosing your cushion color. After you make payment, email us separately the photo. And we will handle your order from there on.

Do you know?

Embroidery entails addition of threads onto a fabric with machinery needles. Due to the density of threads in a design, the weight and sewing process could damage a fabric if its too thin. As such, embroidery on normal cotton t-shirts are not recommeneded. However, as polo shirts has a generally heavier feel of fabric, it does take the embroidery process better and can hold up through washes. Thus, if you want embriodery on clothings, do make sure its of polo or denim material.

Embroidery of coporate logos has always been popular and a good marketing tool for any company. At That Corner Shop, we offer competitive rates without any minimums required. Yes, you can order one piece also.

Free File conversion
We can help to convert your company logo to embriodery files *free of charge and do the embroidery on polo shirts. We believe most company locally charges a minimum conversion rate of $20.

File Specification:
a) min. 300 dpi
b) in PDF prefered, but JPG, AI, CDR, are acceptable too.
c) *Conversion file is free only if image quality is high and minimum touch up is needed. If a good amount of touch-up needs to be done, a $5-$10 touch-up fees might be charged. But normally, we try not to charge any during off-seasons.

Christmas Is Here Again!!

Dear Readers,

It's the end-of-year Christmas shopping season again!

For many, its a delightful time where throngs of shoppers go into malls all over the country, to hunt for special festive gifts for their loved ones.

So, what should one look for, when there are so many choices out there? I would like to list down the 3Ps for the shoppers to look out for, when shopping for gifts:

1) Pricing:
Work out your budget, list down how many friends and family members you intend to get gifts for.

Eg. You have 30 persons you want to buy something for, and your budget is probably $500 for this Christmas. So that comes to about $16.60 for each person.

If you are getting a card, you can go to shops that sell them in 1 big pack, and on average, one card would probably cost you $1 or less.

And, that will likely leave you with $15, quite a good budget to work on, considering that you are buying for a group of 30 people.

Everybody's pocket money is different, so do work out a budget / range that you are comfortable with and still have money remain to get a good turkey meal on Christmas day.

2)Practicality

Do you know... where did teddy bears get their name from?

The name Teddy Bear comes from former U.S President Theodore Roosevelt, whose nickname was "Teddy".

The name originated from an incident on a bear-hunting trip in Mississippi. in November 1902, to which Roosevelt was invited by then Mississippi Governor Andrew H. Longino. There were several other hunters competing, and most of them had already shot something. Roosevelt's attendants managed to catch a American Black Bear and tied it to a willow tree after a long exhausting chase with hounds. They called Roosevelt to the place and suggested that he should shoot it. The 26th U.S. President refused to shoot the bear himself, as its does not show sportmanship. He then instructed that the bear be killed to put it out of its misery. Interestingly, it became the topic of a political cartoon by Clifford Berryman in The Washington Post on November 16, 1902. While the initial cartoon of an adult black bear lassoed by a white handler and a disgusted Roosevelt had symbolic overtones, later issues of that and other Berryman cartoons made the bear smaller and cuter.

Morris Michtom saw the drawing of Roosevelt and the bear cub and was inspired to create a new toy. He created a little stuffed bear cub and put it in his shop window with a sign that read "Teddy's bear," after sending the bear to Roosevelt and receiving permission to sell the bears.

The toys were an immediate success and Michtom founded the Ideal Novelty and Toy Co., which still exists today.

At the same time, in Germany the Steiff firm, unaware of Michtom's bear, produced a stuffed bear from Richard Steiff’s designs. They exhibited the toy at the Leipzig Toy Fair in March 1903 and exported 3000 to the United States. By 1906 manufacturers other than Michtom and Steiff had joined in and the craze for Teddy Bears was such that ladies carried them everywhere, children were photographed with them, and Roosevelt used one as a mascot in his bid for re-election.

Well, like all man loved to say, the rest is History.

Teddy bears have become the all time top selling stuffed toys throughout the world. One just need to make a mental note everytime he or she steps into somebody else's home, and Viola! You found a teddy bear, either minature or a 15 inch bear sitting on someone's table or slouching on somebody's bed.
